Nohegan East Where its more hot, humid and hardcore; instead of waterfalls, we have alligators.
WHAT IS NOHEGAN? Nohegan is an art-making weekend with a focus on community. Thus far, the event has brought together hundreds of Texas-based artists for a weekend of art making inspired by the summer camp experience of our collective youths. The original 4-day/3-night event was held in 2006 at McKinney Falls State Park, about 30 miles outside of Austin, Texas. Nohegan has happened 4 more times since then, and we're looking forward to another great year in 2011. In addition to personal art-making, many of the artist/campers sponsor art workshops.
NOHEGAN EAST Inspired by Nohegan and the many friendships made at McKinney Falls, the Houston Art Scouts invited artists and friends for a weekend of art making and camaraderie at Brazos Bend State Park June 18-20, 2010.
